I was not satisfied with the mops that I had. That includes a Bona floor mop and a Ecovacs robot vacuum and mop. The Ecovac robot is convenient but mops very lightly, good for picking up dust but not for cleaning dirty spots. The Bona floor mop cleans satisfactorily, but it requires a lot of spraying and is not easy to clean the pads. I decided to search Amazon to see if there was anything new in mop technology. I came across the iMop and decided to give it a try. I really like the iMop! The game changer is that you can easily clean the pad whenever you like. You dock the pad into the center column in the bucket and then push down with the handle. This causes the pad to spin over a brush and filtered water to be sprayed onto the pad. You can continue to push down on the handle multiple times to get the pad clean. By the end of the mopping, the water is very gray and dirty. With my Bona mop, if it was able to clean this well, all that dirt would be in the mop as I clean the floor. I also find that it puts the right amount of water onto the mop so I find it safe to use on my hardwood floors without getting it too wet. It also means I do not need to spray the floor much with the Bona spray. Overall, it makes it much easier for me to clean the floors, so I do it more often. The only issue I found was that the telescoping handle tends to shorten as I use it. It is only a minor inconvenience, so I only docked it one star for sturdiness.I liked the iMop so much that I purchased a second one when it was on sale. I figured it could be a spare or I could use it on my second floor. However, I did not get around to opening the box until several months later. I was surprised to find the bucket was missing! I called Ventio. Amber was very friendly and helped me get a replacement unit. It was way past the return date, so it was not a standard return. Amber was able to get some exceptions approved in order for me to get the new unit. I opted for the newer triangular pads. The triangular pads makes it possible to clean corners which is very nice. The telescoping handle looks the same, and I had a similar issue with it. Instead of shortening gradually, the latch would pop open from time to time, and I would need to relatch it. Again, it is only a minor inconvenience, but it would be nice if issues with the telescoping handle could be fixed.
