These pads fit the mop head better than the ones that came with it. They stay on better and work better. They are thinner than the original, but not too thin to use. I followed the advice of reviewers who said to let the pad get wet before using on the floor. That's the trick for them to work well. Switch the steamer on for a few minutes until it starts to steam and the pad is wet. Then it will just glide over the floor and pick up all the dirt.I used the same pad in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen floor was particularly dirty. The steamer got all the dirt, but the pad was pretty yucky after all that cleaning. Now that I can replace these 6 at a time for about $3 each, I won't bother to wash and reuse them. I'll just throw the dirty one away.
