Best value out there. Great customer service. I did my research before investing in a robotic sweeper/vaccuum cleaner and feature-wise this unit beats the Roomba 880 for hundreds of dollars less. I was afraid that this unit would give me trouble and I'd get no support because I'd read the comments from others who purchased the unit. Still, the price difference compared to the Roomba was great enough that I thought I would take a chance. *I'm glad I decided to try the iClebo*. Here is my experience:I purchased this unit and it arrived on time, very well packaged. The instructions for assembling and using it are transliterated Korean. That means not very good instructions, even with the pictures. I had to make a little mental exertion to assemble it and ensure that it was ready for operation, but not too much. The penultimate step is installing the transformer/power supply into the charger base which worked fine except that I discovered they has shipped the wrong power cord from the power outlet to the transformer. I was put out for sure. It was an "American" plug with the 2 paddles/contacts (not 3, grounded) on one end but the other end that plugs into the transformer had two contacts and the transformer requires a three-pronged plug. On the literature included with the iClebo was a customer support toll-free number. I called it - it was answered immediately by a professional young lady "Rebecca" who politely listened to my problem and notified me her manager could help me with that but he was out at lunch and he would return my call later. With some skepticism I provided my phone number. I borrowed the cable from my laptop and plugged in the unit so that it would charge for the day. Before the end of the day the iClebo manager did indeed call me back and apologized. He took my mailing addressed and said he'd send the correct cable by UPS. Lo and behold, three days later UPS delivered the correct cable. So customer server gets 5 stars. How did the unit perform? Fantastic. I have a large house with most of the 1st floor being dark hardwood (pic included). I also have 2 cats and a Great Pyrenees dog (pic included). For those unfamiliar, the Great Pyrenees breed is white and between 80-160lbs - its like a giant, constantly shedding polar bear. That's why the iClebo. I have seen this dog and these 2 cats destroy 2 Dyson vacuum cleaners in a few short years so it was with a healthy dose of skepticism and equal amounts of trepidation that I set the iClebo to the task. I was pretty convinced that it would clog and choke on all the dog hair but to my astonishment it did not! The first day I had to run it twice because the catch-bin filled up. After that it runs once a day and I empty the catch-bin every day. The iClebo picks up *all* the long white Great Pyrenees dog hair without problems. Once a week I do need to pull some of the dog hair off the brush because it gets wrapped around it. It literally takes me about a minute.I am a career software developer so I'm critical of substandard software but also appreciative good software. The software in the iClebo is very good. It is very smart about cleaning, not missing spots, not getting stuck when encountering obstacles. Once, in 10 days of use, it got stuck on the tail of my cats' toy mouse and shut itself off after a couple of beeps. I extricated the cat toy and set it on its way and all has been well since. It hasn't got lost yet and always finds itself back to the charging base. I have four rooms and the iClebo navigates itself around everything every day and does its work. Its not as fast as a human - it probably takes about 80-90 minutes to complete its work but I'm off working or doing something else.I've been watching these gadgets for years, amused by what a futuristic a cute idea they are but never believing that they'd work worth squat, but faced with over a thousand square feet of hardwood floor and some carpets (I'm a solo act for a few months) and all my other responsibilities I figured that I'd give it a shot. Best thing I ever did. My wife was right again, despite my misgivings :-)In summary, this is a great unit and very good value. According to Consumer Reports the operating time of this unit is 50% longer than the Roomba 880. The Roomba manufacturers warranty on the battery is 6 months; iClebo's batter warranty is 12 months. I purchased the SquareTrade extended warranty for 3 years for an additional $35 just because iClebo is not as well known as the Roomba in the USA. So even with my (4-year total) warranty I saved $300 compared to the Roomba and got a better unit with a replacement warranty four times longer. I have not used the Roomba brand robotic sweeper and I'm sure it is a very good unit also, but IMHO you just can't beat the value of the iClebo.iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte: I have had Roomba and Neatos over the years and they all eventually need to be replaced. Decided to try the iClebo and have been happy so far. I purchased 3 of these about 2 months ago. Everything is working great so far. Haven't had any issues at all. I have all hard floors so i cant comment on how they work on carpet, but they do a decent job in picking up dust and hair from our two dogs. The best thing about these is the noise level, they are extremely quiet compared to all other brands i have owned. I can sit in a room while they are running and watch tv without having to turn up the volume. You can barely hear them from a room away. A few times i have had to check on them as i thought they were stuck because i couldn't hear them, only to find they cleaning away. The navigation so far has been great. Only 2 or 3 times i have found them stuck from getting something stuck in the brushes. Usually something one of the kids left on the floor. I have never found any stuck in an odd space as with previous robots. It's nice to see all three back on their bases after the job is done and not have to hunt them down. The dust bin design is a little annoying to open and close, but not a deal breaker at all, just could have been designed better.2 side brushes are great and the main brush is great too, easy to clean.I don't' even use the cleaning pad attachment. Tried it the first time and it was pretty much useless, but that's ok, didn't think it would work when looking into the product anyway.Does a great job over thresholds as well. We have a 6 month old and pads down on his bedroom floor maybe 1/2 an inch high and iClebo jumps right up there and cleans those as well..Battery life is one of the best features. I have one robot upstairs and it cleans 3 bedrooms, hallway and master bedroom with out having to recharge. And it does it quickly too. All previous brands i have had were never able to clean the entire upstairs.I haven't tried the scheduling feature yet as i need to train my kids to clear the floors on a schedule first, but it seems pretty simple to program. The instruction manual is poorly written, they don't do a very good job of translating to english, but you are able to figure out for the most part what they are trying to tell you.Over all i would highly recommend these robots.I'll rate this a five if the battery gets past a year and is still going this strong. That couldn't be said about the two iRobot models I've had in the past. I had decided to give up on robot vacuums. No matter how much I loved them, they were just too darn expensive at the rate the batteries gave up the ghost. Then, along came Consumer Reports' "best buy" rating on this model. I couldn't resist and I'm glad I didn't.Owning one of these is a lot like having a cleaner come in, because you have to clean up (the floor at least) for the vacuum to be able to do its job. Oh, well. It's worth it. And this model seems to choke on thin speaker wire and small area rugs that are light and scrunchy, but it gets past pretty much everything else.I have a shag area rug (I know, I know, but it's in my bedroom and my feet love it) that has been an insurmountable challenge for past robots, but so far Arte is soldiering on.I've had this for about 6 months now. It is very convenient, quiet, and it works. I like this machine very much except I still have to use the full-sized vacuum I have regularly. The iClebo picks up pretty well but it really doesn't get deep into rugs or cracks, it only gets the dirt from the surface. You can't use it on wood floors (unless they're old and you don't care) because it leaves slight scratches. You need to empty it after every use and clean the bristles on the bottom as well as the filter every few uses or it stops picking things up as well. It's not as low maintenance as I would ideally like, but then Harry Potter is not real and I will never own a house elf. I should be happy with my iClebo.Wow. Great way to maintain a clean house and it goes pretty much everywhere. Once you have moved a bit your chairs and lifted your wires that might touch your floor, this baby cleans, vacuums and mops surprisingly well. Not too noisy, fast charging time and goes back to its base automatically. I also found it easy to access and clean the dust bin and filter. I am so surprised how good this product is. Plus it has a great battery autonomy time. My favourite companion for home maintenance. Thanks iClebo!OK.Pros: device is good when it works. Cleans good, quiet, big dustbin.Cons: The support for device does not exist. Period. Emails from [email protected] are rejected. Website form gives erros. Phone does not answer because number is incorrect. Now I'm stuck with 500$ piece of junk. Found that issue is caused by using a cheap plastic gearbox and gears are melted when iClebo is stuck.Got it because i am lazy and my dog brings a lot of dirt in everyday.Cleaning: does the job pretty well, but gets stuck on carpets.Navigation: not as good as the LG systems(ultrasound sensors and mapping), and most of the time it bumps into objects before reducing speed, got stuck a few times and could not get back to home base for charging. its a cheaper version of a home cleaning robot. the remote control needs a line of sight to work, so if you cant see it you cant guide it out from under the bed or shelves.you will need a clear area for it to function at its maximum potential. with furniture it will just get lost.I would use it until it dies and buy a LG with proper mapping and better collision sensors if they ever sale them in Canada.
